COVID-19

Office Protocol

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our office is taking the necessary precautions and following protocol recommended by our provincial dental and medical authorities. In order to provide the safest possible environment for our patients and staff, we ask that you review our guidelines below.

This situation is changing day by day, so guidelines may also change. We will update on an ongoing basis.

*Note: We do not have a COVID-19 fee/surcharge. We believe it’s our responsibility to keep you safe and our staff safe.

Disinfectant Fogging: For Safety and Peace of Mind

Our patients mean the most to us and we want to ensure that we keep both our patients and staff feeling as safe and comfortable as possible during these times. We have implemented disinfectant fogging into our daily cleaning and disinfecting routine as a further step to provide the safest possible office environment. We are using non-toxic, environmentally friendly disinfectant that is proven to be 99.99% effective against any pathogens, bacteria, and viruses.

For Appointments

When scheduling and confirming an appointment, you will be asked a series of questions on your current health condition which will be recorded in your chart. If you’ve travelled outside of the province in the last 14 days, have been in close contact with someone who has, or have experienced any possible symptoms of Coronavirus, then we ask that you please schedule your appointment and do not enter our office.

Upon entering our office, please clean your hands using hand sanitizer provided at the door or at the reception desk. Patients are required to wear a facial mask while in the clinic. If you do not have your own clean face mask to wear, our office will provide a single-use disposable mask for your appointment.

When you check-in for your appointment, you will again be asked a series of questions on your health status. Your temperature will also be taken and recorded via a non-contact thermometer. In the event that there are any indicators that it is not safe to proceed with your appointment, we will have to reschedule it.

To limit patient numbers in our office, please bring the minimum number of family members possible to any scheduled appointments. Any accompanying person will also have a screening questionnaire and temperature recording completed.

In order to keep each other safe during this time, all staff will be wearing extensive personal protective equipment for all patient treatment. In addition, appointments will be scheduled farther apart to allow for thorough disinfection of treatment rooms and patient contact surfaces.
